Sit down…..then get up
Sometimes it just has to hurt. You just have to sit down, lay down and cry out in defeat. You have to get primal. Close your eyes and feel it deep within your soul and let the pain cloak you until you feel as if you are going to draw your very last breath. Imagine yourself buried deep in a cold lonesome grave where life entombed you. You feel alone and scared, like you are the last person on earth. No one is coming to save you. No one hears your cries. No one reached out to you to offer solace. Just let it hurt. Now open your eyes and realize you are still alive. You are breathing. You see the sky above and the grass beneath. You feel the air slightly caress your tear stained face. The pounding you feel is your heart beating letting you know you are still alive….and you have another chance. You’ve felt this way before and yet here you are, alive. It doesn’t feel good, but you are alive. Circumstances are giving you push back, but you are still alive. You may feel extremely weak, but you are alive. It hurts like hell and once again you feel as if nothing is going to change, but you are alive. Take one foot and put it in front of the other and just keep moving. You may not have a job, keep moving. You don’t have a dime to your name, keep moving. You’re being threatened to be put out on the street, keep moving. There’s no food, keep moving. People have turned their backs on you, keep moving. You must keep moving to show the world you’re not done, and in return the world must continue to move with you.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Lao Tzu, Chinese philosopher
